How a Cypress roof happens

Four stations, in the order they actually occur.

Roofing goes wrong in predictable places: the evaluation that misses the real damage, the claim that stalls, the deck that was never sealed, the yard full of nails afterwards. Here is what each one looks like when it is handled.

evaluation

Someone is on your roof inside 24 to 48 hours

Free evaluations happen within 24 to 48 hours of the call. A roofing contractor goes up and checks for damage and missing shingles, because the tell is rarely the thing you can see from the driveway. After a storm that window matters: one homeowner had a branch through the roof and a project manager was there the next morning to patch it until the crew could come.

claim

The insurance paperwork is ours, not yours

We work with all major insurance companies and handle the claims paperwork, including working alongside your adjuster. This is the part of the business that grew out of 2020, when a hailstorm hit West Baton Rouge and Louisiana went on to see 30 named storms and Hurricane Laura. Months of claims taught us where they stall.

deck

Sealed deck, ring-shank nails, a broader edge

FORTIFIED is a specification, not a badge. A broader drip edge with a fully adhered starter strip for high-wind stability. A sealed roof deck that keeps protecting even if the shingles above it are compromised. Ring-shank nails in a reinforced pattern instead of smooth nails. We are certified in all three classifications: Hurricane, High Wind and Professional.

handover

Not a speck of material left, not even one nail

That line is a customer's, not ours. Crews clean the work area each day, are careful around landscaping, and the roof is covered by a two-year workmanship warranty when they leave. In many cases a roofing project finishes in a single day, though larger or more complex roofs take two days or more.

What we handle

Roofs first. Then everything the roof drains onto.

Residential, commercial and FORTIFIED roofing are the three the company is built around. Gutters and patio covers come off the same metal work, which is why they sit with us rather than with a second contractor.

Why FORTIFIED, and why here

In 2020 Louisiana had thirty named storms.

One of them was Hurricane Laura, a Category 4 and the strongest hurricane by wind speed to hit Louisiana in 150 years. Cypress Roofing worked around the clock through that season, and the shape of the company today came out of it: certified in all three FORTIFIED classifications, and fluent in the insurance side because there was no other way to get those roofs replaced.

A FORTIFIED roof is worth up to 40% off the premium with many insurers. That is the part most homeowners here have never been told.

The same names keep coming up.

Project managers get named in these reviews more often than the company does, which is usually a good sign. Rob Mooney appears twice below, from two homeowners who never met.

Cypress Roofing is the guys to call if you need any work to be done. Rob Mooney is a great project manager and goes above & beyond for his customers. He does everything to make sure the customer gets what they're looking for without having to go over budget. Rob & his office personnel also handled everything with the insurance company. His work crew was very professional and left things as if they were never here.

So happy to finally have my new roof after months of battling with my insurance company! Cypress Roofing did a great job navigating all the obstacles I faced to ensure I got a new roof and gutters too! My roof is beautiful and it has elevated the beauty and look of my home!

I would like to thank Cypress Roofing for the great job they did replacing my roof, did an attic vent installation, and inside ceiling repairs from roof leak. My project manager was Mike Glaze who was very professional, punctual and very knowledgeable. The project was done in a reasonable time and I am very satisfied.

Each step of the insurance claim process was explained thoroughly and a Cypress representative worked well with our adjuster. We never felt pressured to make any selections. We had all our questions answered. The materials were delivered on time and the delivery driver was extra careful to place bundles to cause the least disruption to our normal routine. The work crew was amazing! They were careful with all our landscaping and cleaned the work area each day.

Before you call anyone

Questions worth the answer.

We recommend an inspection of your roof at least twice a year. We'll send an expert roofing contractor to check your roof for any damage or missing shingles.

The signs of roof damage include lifting shingles, stains on the ceiling, flapping shingles, and damaged eaves. Age is another important factor, a typical roof lasts 25 to 50 years.

In many cases, we can finish roofing projects in a single day. However, larger or more complex roofs may take two days or more.

Yes, our roofing team is licensed and insured. We also offer a two-year workmanship warranty, and the team has more than 70 years of combined experience.

Yes. We work with all major insurance companies and handle the claims paperwork. It is how the company grew: after the 2020 hailstorm and Hurricane Laura we spent months navigating claims directly on homeowners' behalf.

Four things: a broader drip edge with a fully adhered starter strip, a sealed roof deck that keeps protecting even if shingles are compromised, ring-shank nails in a reinforced pattern instead of smooth nails, and insurance premium savings of up to 40% with many insurers. Service so good, the roof seems like lagniappe.

That has been the motto since Caprice Cline and her three children started the company out of their homes in 2019 with two computers and a box of business cards. Call the office, or send a few details and someone will come and look at it.
